Wilma Busath
Wilma Maxine, longtime Sacramento resident, passed away April 27. Born March 22, 1921, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Albert and Etta Bassett. Married Chris (Dude) Busath (deceased) in 1948 and moved to East Sacramento. In addition to her role as a homemaker, Wilma worked in the insurance industry 20 years, retiring from New England Life. She was President of Theodore Judah Elementary School PTA and a volunteer with Casa de los Ninos and Ikebana.
Wilma is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Susan Busath, and her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brian Busath, all of Folsom; her son, Kevin Busath, of Geneva, Illinois; and her brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Lois Bassett; her nephews, Craig and Brian Bassett; and her niece Colleen Werner, all of Nebraska.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to the many friends who provided support in so many ways and, in particular, to Maria, Wilma's caregiver for the last five years, for her love and dedication. Visitation will be at the Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Boulevard, from 4:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 3. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1333 58th Street, at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 4, with a graveside service following.
