Mr. Bass, a Vancouver resident since 1970, was born Dec. 26, 1914, in California. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1774 and the Eagles Lodge. He liked gardening and traveling. There will be no funeral and burial will be private. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mary, at home; one daughter, Lucille Macaluso of Redding, Calif.; two sons, Don of Redding, Calif., and Art of Greerton, New Zealand; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Box 371, Vancouver, WA 98666.
