Nancy Hanerhoff
Nancy Dee Bass Hanerhoff, 79, of West Peoria, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria.
Born June 2, 1939, in Peoria to Ralph and Emma Lee (King) Cowen, she married George Albert Bass on Dec. 20, 1958, in Peoria. He died July 5, 1980. She later married Robert Hanerhoff on Oct. 19, 1991, in Peoria. He passed away Jan. 22, 2017, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and one step-son.
Surviving are three daughters, Julie (Dan) Eaves of Greensboro, N.C., Susan (Mike) Jasien of Willow Springs and Ann Robertson of Lacon; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step-sons; one step-daughter; and one sister, Ruth Helmer of Kingsport, Tenn.
Nancy attended Grace United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she worked as a secretary for five years.
She had worked for Mid-Illini Educational Service Center in Pekin.
Nancy loved lighthouses, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed walking.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
