Born march 13, 1935, at Pekin, a son of Leo and Dorothy Whitney Bass, he married Nancy Cowen Dec. 20, 1958, at Peoria. Surviving are his wife, his parents of Creve Coeur, three daughters, Jube, Susan and Ann Marie, all at home, and one sister, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Diner of Des Plaines. One brother preceded him n death. He was an operating engineer for Central Illinois Light Co. and was a member of the firemen and oilers union. Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, the Rev. Donald Weber officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
