Johnny M. Bass Sr.
Johnny M. Bass, Sr., 77, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was a graduate of Waite High School and retired from Chrysler Corp after 30 years.
Johnny was a hard working, dedicated father and enjoyed spending time with his children. He loved carpentry, cooking and was an avid gardener. He will always be remembered as the coolest man in the room.
In addition to his parents, Alexander and Mildred Bass, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Bass and sister, Anita Bibbs.
He is survived by his children, Johnny Mark Bass, Jr. (Boo) of Atlanta, GA, Angela Bass Cummings of Atlanta, GA, Mark A. Bass, Sr. (Hulk); and Kelly Bass; his wife, Debra Bass; brothers, Tom Claytor of Columbus, OH and Curtis Bass; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at House of Day, 2550 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, OH 43607. Wake 3 p.m. followed by funeral at 4 p.m.
