MSGT. James Noel Bassett
MSgt. James Noel Bassett, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 71, passed away January 14, 2006. Born July 15, 1934 to Mr. & Mrs. Jabe Noel Bassett. Mr. Bassett is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Roberts; brother; Robert L. Bassett. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria Bassett; Sons & daughters-in-law, James Bassett, Jr. & Cherrie Bassett, Frederick Bassett & Lilla Bassett; sisters, Linda B. Hall, Rosalie Taylor, Rosanne Wilson of Pulaski, Virginia; Grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaylin, Lili, Christy, Jennifer, & Eric, & Great-Grandchild, Trinity. Mr. Bassett retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 yaers of service, and was a member of the VFW, & Operation Ranch Hand in Vietnam. Visitation will begin Thursday January 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday January 20, 2006 at 12:15 P.M. at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel #2 with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston with full military honors.
