Sujdak WALLINGFORD - Margaret E. Sujdak, 78, dear wife and best friend of Robert A. Sujdak, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport Hospital, Oct. 31, 1924, the daughter of Helen and Raymond Bassett. She lived and attended schools in Stratford. A graduate of Bridgeport School of Nursing in 1945, she worked in a California Veterans Hospital during the expected invasion of Japan. On her return, she worked at Bridgeport Hospital, raised a son and daughter, also worked at Meriden Hospital and a nursing home on Cape Cod and retired from Westfield Care and Rehab Center. She is surivived by a daughter, Margaret Goldbach; a son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Patty Goldbach; a special granddaughter, Sarah Richards; and a granddaughter, Beth Goldbach. Arrangements have been made with the Colonial Funeral Home, Hamden. There will be visiting hours and interment will be private. Contributions in her name my be made to Hospice, 110 Barnes Road, Wallingford, CT 06492.
