Clyde Franklin Bass, at age 70, passed away peacefully at his residence July 18, 2011. He was preceded in death by his son Clyde Bass Jr., father Wiley Bass and mother Juanita (Lyles) Bass. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Coleman) Bass of the residence, children Tracy Bass and his wife Connie and family of Oklahoma City, Brian of Enid, Oklahoma, and Gail and husband Darin Rich of Niceville, Florida, two grandchildren Chloe and Ty Rich, brother Bruce Bass and wife Susan of Wellston, Oklahoma, sister Beverly and husband Charles Elrod of Oklahoma City, numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde attended John Marshall High School and devoted most of his professional career to the automotive industry. Clyde was noted for his painting and restoration of classic autos and continued operating his business from his residence until his retirement. Clyde loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and black powder shooting were some of his hobbies. Those that knew him thought he could do anything with his talents that were many. Friends treasured the handmade fishing rods and finely carved black powder rifles. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 22, 2011, at 10:00 AM at Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Road.
