SHIRLEY TABAR(nee Bassett) age 99, beloved wife of 71 years to Carl N. Tabar; loving mother to David Tabar (Donna), Laurel Bender (Philip-deceased), Susan Farquhar and Paul Tabar (Kathleen); dear grandma to Jonathan (Caryn), William (Maresa), Andrew (Amanda) and Kathryn Bruce (Cody); Jennifer Roussat (John Paul), Kimberly Maleski (James), Mathew Bender and Michelle Rock (Adam); Nicholas Mandich (Elizaveta), Elizabeth Shelton (Austin); James, Michael (Megan) and Christine Davis (Joe); great grandmother of 20. Shirley and her husband were the owner-operators of the Manor Motel in Fairview Park for 24 years. She was a Registered Nurse at Fairview Hospital, Cuyahoga County Board of Health and Westlake Lutheran Home. She was an Office Clerk at the U.S Navy War Department and U.S. Pentagon in Washington D.C. during WWII. She entered Eternal Life, Monday, August 29, 2022. Funeral Services St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 18001 Detroit Ave., Lakewood Friday Sept. 2nd at 1 PM. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Family suggests Memorial Contributions to St. Peter's Episcopal Church Youth Program or Ames Family Hospice House.
