Daniel Wade Bass
GILMER Daniel Wade Bass, 22, of Gilmer, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 21, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born November 2, 1992, in Longview Texas, to Dennis and LeJuan (Jones) Bass.
He attended Christian Heritage School, Longview Christian School and graduated from Union Grove High School where he played the trombone in the band and excelled in drama.
He was currently employed as a security officer for Noble Security and..according to Daniels Facebook page he was in charge of everything at Golden Flake Bakery!
Daniel, since 5th grade, has been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Gladewater Texas. He participated in the youth drama program, served the youth and children ministries leading worship, and was active in his college and career.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Wood Bass Jr. of Longview; and his grandmother, Rita LaJuan Yates Jones of Vivian, La.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis and LeJuan of Gilmer; his brother, Chris Bass of Alabama; sister and brother-in-law, Alisha and Manny Vidaurri of Washington; sister, Amanda Bass, and his sister, April Bass, both of Gilmer.
He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Jerry Lee and Jonnie Jones of Tennessee; his paternal grandmother, Monel Bass of Longview; his great-uncle and aunt, Benny and Jewell Spraybary of Denton, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Terri Bass of Longview, Phillip Jones of Africa, Dale and Kris Jones of Illinois, Rick and Trudy Bonnette of Alaska and Bill and Kelli Jones of Fort Worth; along with numerous cousins.
He is also survived by his girlfriend, Mary Wardell of Grapeland, Texas, and many friends.
We would like to thank Dearion & Davis Funeral Home of Gladewater for making all the arrangements for us during this time and also thank all of our family and friends for all the expressions of love you have poured out on us.
Funeral services were noon Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church in Gladewater.
