Mrs. Marie Bessette
Mrs. Marie (Ferland) Bessette, 74, widow of Hermenegilde Bessette, died yesterday at her home, Buxton Street, Slatersville.
She was born in St. Elizabeth, P.Q. May 23, 1876, a daughter of the late Louis and Louise (Laferrier) Ferland, and had lived in Slatersville for the past 46 years. For many years, she taught piano in Woonsocket and was well known in musical circles.
She is survived by four sons, Clarence of Woonsocket; John of Greenville and Andrew and Emile Bessette of Slatersville; eight daughters, Mrs. George Langlois, Mrs. Joseph Goulet and Mrs. Fred McGee of Woonsocket; Mrs. William Munro, and Mrs. Fred Cadoret of Slatersville; Mrs. Lloyd Moffitt and West Plam Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Walter Kimball of Providence and Mrs. Lionel Cadoret of Somerset, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Albertine Fredette of Slatersville and Mrs. Arzelie Lee of Woonsocket and 39 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland Street, with a solemn high requiem Mass at 10 o?clock in St. John?s Church, Slatersville. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
