Bassett, a resident of June Road, Stamford for 25 years, died at Greenwich Hospital Monday following a stroke. She was 69. She was born in New York City and raised in Massachusetts. Mrs. Bassett was the wife of Louis L. Bassett. She was a member of the Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Michael H. Bassett of Greenwich, Dr. Peter A. Bassett of Denver, and Dr. John B. Bassett of Windham, N.H.; a brother, Dr. William Wolf of Lowell, Mass.; and five grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at the Leo P. Gallagher Sons Funeral Home in Greenwich, which handled arrangements.
