Melody Diane Bass
Ms. Melody Diane Bass, the daughter of the late Mr. Matthew Bass and the late Mrs. Cinderella Ray Bass was born January 1, 1955 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. She was affectionately known as ?Diane? to her family and friends.
?Diane? accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Straight Life Church of God Pentecostal under the leadership of Bishop Fred Williams. She served faithfully, rejoicing and shouting for the Lord, no matter what the circumstances were.
?Diane? was a 1973 graduate of Crisp County High School. She attended Albany State University for two years.
?Diane? worked as a Special Education Para-Professional at Southwestern Elementary School for many years until her health began to decline. In 2006, her health caused her to retire early. The love for the children she cared for was priceless and she never, ever forgot about them.
?Diane? was always on the ?go for the Lord.? She was very active in her church, no matter where they went, she was right there. She was on The Feed the Hungry Program and The Outreach Ministry. She would go door to door witnessing to other not matter who. She cleaned the church faithfully and diligently. Her favorite phrases was: ?No Man Left Behind, We Will All Make It to Heaven. Glory to God!?
The Love for her family was so compassionate, especially her grandchildren and great grandson. It wasn?t anything she wouldn?t do for them. She always kept them in church, and talked to them about the Lord. She realized the prayers, she prayed for them would go when she couldn?t and as a Mother, she never stopped praying. Her family was her greatest joy and talking about the Lord through good and troubled times, she never once lost faith.
On Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 6:15 A. M., our beloved Diane, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a beloved friend was called home to be with God. He saw it no other way. A faithful servant. He took her like a whisper through the night. Oh Lord what a beautiful way, no more pain and suffering, ?Just Peace.?
?Diane? is preceded in death by her parents and her caring brother, Mr. Matthew Hughes.
