      James Kenneth Bass ?J.K.? Bass, 65, of Beaumont died Dec. 1 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
      Funeral will be at noon Thursday at L.M. Williams & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
      A native of Palestine, he lived in Beaumont 36 years and was a retired brick mason and contractor.
      Survivors include his wife, Betty Louise Black Bass of Beaumont; daughters, Sandy Trahan, Debbie Sloane, Vickie bass and Natalie Bass Warner, all of Beaumont; sons, James K. Bass Jr., Larry W. Bass, David B. Bass; Donald Mark Bass, Michael S. Bass and Brandon L. Bass, all of Beaumont; sister, Nora Eileen Nixon or Porter; brothers, Wade Smith Bass of Porter, Jack Hershel Bass of Waller and Melvin U. Bass of Kingwood; and five grandchildren.
