  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Charles R. Basse Funeral Rites Are Held at Bogard Charles Rudolph Basse, brother of Mrs. Elmo England and Mrs. Edna Gash of Chillicothe died Friday at the Wetzel hospital in Carrollton. He had been ill for three weeks. He was 62. Funeral services were held at 2 o?clock this afternoon from the chapel of the Dickerson-Rice Funeral Home in Bogard. The Rev. Eldon Smith, Leon, Ia., officiated. Burial was in the German cemetery near Norborne. Mr. Basse was born Nov. 7, 1907, in Carroll County, a son of Louis and Etta (Price) Basse. He spent his lifetime in Carroll County, where he engaged in farming. On Dec. 15, 1928, he married Laura Peck at Norborne. Survivors are his wife, two sons, Arlie and Don of the home; a son, Charles Basse, jr., Norborne; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Culling, Bogard; Miss Betty Basse, Braymer, and Mrs. Thyra Bailey; a grandchild, Gus Basse, Bogard. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Louise Mendenhall, Dawn; Mrs. Walter Ridinger, Kansas; Mrs. England and Mrs. Gash, Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by six children; two brothers; a sister and a grandson, in addition to his parents.
