Henry C. Bass
CARLISLE -- Henry C. 'A.C.' Bass, 64, of 1 West Penn, died Tuesday in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He cut watercress for Dick Baker and was a member of the Haines-Stackfield American Legion Post 826.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Kennedy; three sons, Charles Bass and James Pope, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Billy Bass of Shippensburg; seven daughters, Wanda Temple, Patricia Bass, and Shirley Bass, all of Cincinnati, Dottie Washington, Sarah Bass and Jennifer Bass, all of Carlisle, and Betty Bass of Georgetown, S.C.; two sisters, Cora Cullers of Trenton, N.J., and Amybelle Douglas of Ovieda, Fla.; two brothers, Garfield and Simon Bass, both of Ovieda; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Monday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Twp.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
