- George Washington Eads was the son of William and Elizabeth (Finn) Eads. William Eads was the son of Benjamin and Mary (Hughes) Eads. Benjamin Eads was the son of John and Nancy Simpson) Eads.
George and Sirena lived in between Benjmain Eads and Lorenzo D. Eads in the 1900 census of Maries County, Missouri.

John Edds acquired a Kentucky land patent in 1798, located in present-day Caldwell County. In February 1808, John and his wife Nancy sold that land. In 1809 and 1810, John signed petitions to Congress as a resident living eight miles south of St. Genevieve, Missouri. Later John patented land in present-day Osage County, Missouri, December 31, 1818.
In 1819, Nancy filed for divorce, first in Franklin County, then in Gasonade County where it was finally granted in 1822. Divorce papers list their marriage to have taken place in Tennessee in 1795.
In 1838 their children were named by Nancy's estate administrator William Bumpass (son-in-law) including their ages and residences as follows: William 41, Illinois; Elizabeth Perkins, deceased; Mary Laughlin, 38; Hannah Bumpass, 36; John, 34; Benjamin 31; James L., 26; Rachael Stewart, 24; and Moses L., 21, all of Gasconade County, and Nancy Kegans, 32, in Texas.
John Edds deeded 100 acres of Bailey's Creek to Nancy in 1822. Records of John Edds before 1796 and after 1822 are unknown. Many descendants are later found in Maries County with the name of Eads.

Benjamin Eads was born September 16, 1807, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, the son of John Eads. The exact date that he came to Missouri and the route by which he came are unknown but he was here by 1824. On July 1, 1824, he married his first wife, Mary Hughes, in Casconade County. Mary was born in October of 1806 in Kentucky. Benjamin and Mary were the parents of William M. Eads who married Elizabeth Forin?, Caroline Eads who married Campbell Coffey; George W. Eads who married Frances Simpson; Perry F. Eads who married Mary Lambert?; Francis Eads who married James Crismon,p and Lewis Eads who married Jane Simpson. On March 29, 1845, Mary died.
After Mary's death, Benjamin married a second time to Mahal Taff, who was born May 1, 186[?], the daughter of Peter Taff. Benjamin and Mahala were the parents of Lorenzo D., who married Lucinda Penelope Reed; Myra Eads who married Gilbert Crismon; Benjamin S. Eads (did he marry Sarah Meltabarger?), Amanda Eads who was the second wife of Michael Spss?? Graham; Jennie Eads who married Barney Hawkins; Louisa Eads who married Jaems Perry Tackett.
Benjamin Eads outlived both of his wives, dying December 1, 1880, at the age of 73. Mahala had passed away November 6, 1876. Both wives are buried with him at the Lambert Cemetery. Mary's stone is one of the J.L'Donnell and Company stones from Sedalia.

George Washington Eads was born November 1832 and married Frances Simpson, born in 1833. THey had nine children: James C. Eads (born 1858, died November 18, 1928), married Sarah Wiles (born 1858); Mary (January 26, 1860), Samuel (May 20, 1863); Elizabeth (September 26, 1869); Mariah (March 1872); Augustus (Gus) (February 4, 1875); Joseph (November 25, 1875); an infant son who died at the age of nine days; and Perry, who died at two years of age.
