Dessie Biddle
AUBURN - Dessie M. Biddle, 89, died on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at Parkview's Randalia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1933, in St. Joe, Indiana, to Virgil John and Flossie (Keeler) Bassett.
She married Donald Thomas "Tom" Biddle on May 1, 1976, at St. Joe Church of Christ.
Dessie retired from AT&T. She owned and operated MAT-3 Arial Truck Service in Wisconsin, with Tom for many years, until his death on May 22, 2005.
She returned to Indiana, several years later, and was active, independent and fun to be around. She will be missed.
She is survived by nine nieces and nephews and their spouses, Jeff (Kathy) Bassett, Tom (Marlene) Bassett, Mark (Michelle) Bassett, David (Carrie) Bassett, Kevin (Stasia) Bassett, Cynthia (Tim) Moore, Eric (Sherri) Bassett, Patti (Scott) Warstler and Bill (Kathryn) Bassett; 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 11 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Virgil Bassett Jr., Merle Bassett and Richard Bassett.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at Riverside Cemetery in St. Joe, Indiana.
