Ethel I. Gaudette
EAST GEORGIA ? Ethel I. Gaudette, 79, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, April 16, 1992, at her home. She was the widow of Paul A. Gaudette, who predeceased her on Nov. 23, 1964.
She was a member of St. Ann Church in Milton, the Arrowhead Senior Citizens Center and Champlain Valley Agency on Aging. Born in St. Albans, on March 4, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Gertrude (Rich) Bessette.
She leaves six children, Vernon Gaudette and his wife, Shirley, of Georgia, Victor Gaudette and his wife, Sandra, of Swanton, Vinton Gaudette and his wife, Janice, of Georgia, Vance Gaudette, of Williston, Paula Badger and her fiancé, Richard Carodrette, of Milton, and Paul Gaudette Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Georgia; one brother, Frederick Bessette and his wife, Louelle, of St. Albans; two sisters, Mildred Esposito of Milton, and Pauline Esposito of Florida; one aunt, Cora Demingware of Montpelier; two dear friends, Mose Badger of Riverton, and Marion Smith of East Georgia; 16 grandchileren; three great-grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Arnold ?Bud? Bessette.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, April 20 1992 in St. Ann Church in Milton by Father Bernard Gaudreau, assisted by Deacon Roger Lauziere. A selection of hymns was sung by St. Ann Choir, accompanied by organist Monique Martin. Words of remembrance were spoken by a grandson, Vinton Gaudette Jr. Attending were delegations from Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, Arrowhead Senior Citizens in Milton, Fairfiax Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens, Gaudette?s Market, Gaudette?s Slaughterhouse, Georgia Auto Parts, East End Quick Stop, Spike?s Crossroad Video, Dowling?s Inc. and St. Albans City Fire Department. Bearers, all grandsons, were Shawn Badger, and Stephen, Greg, Larry, Kerry and Christ Gaudette. Interment followed in Sanderson Corners Cemetery in Fairfax. Satruday afternoon Father Gaudreau conducted a prayer services in Hayes-Rich Funeral Home in Fairfax.
