He retired from the Department of Transportation. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Frank Turner. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Rebeth Y. Bass; two sons, Sherrill R. Bass and Ronald K. Bass, both of Clinton; a sister, Eloise B. Davidson of Clinton; and one granddaughter. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
