Donald C. Bassett, North Huntingdon
Donald C. Bassett, 57, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, June 25, 2001, in UPMC McKeesport. He was born Sept. 15, 1943, in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Frank and Ethel Bassett. He was employed in the Technical Support Department of Echo Star, McKeesport. He was a former coach for Pony League and Midget football, NCAA. He is survived by his wife, Lois Detar Bassett; a son, Stephen and his wife Maria of Leechburg; two daughters, Rebecca Bassett of Apollo, and Wendy Pielmeier and her husband Steven of Altoona; a stepson, Kevin Cobaugh; a brother, Jim Bassett of Oceanside, Calif; two sisters, Marjorie McNair of Greensburg and Pauline Obenauf of Penn Hills; and a grandson, Zachary Pielmeier. Friends received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shirley-Kukich Funeral Home Inc., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, where service will be Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Irwin Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lupus Foundation.
