Jerry Jerome Bass, 79, passed away June 10, 2025. He was born November 21, 1945 to the late Jermiah and Emma Bass. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Cathie Meadows Bass; grandsons Tyler Anthony Gunnels and Joseph Oliver Gunnels; sisters, Dora Lee Wilbanks, Marian Jean Craig and Betty Lou Meeks.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Penny Gunnels and husband Harvey; grandchild Magen Hill; sister Donna Sue Bass-Phillips; sister-in-law Joyce Doster and husband Donnie; brother-in-law Garland Meadows and wife Alice; nieces Jessica Rich and husband Chad, Pam MacNabb and husband Terry; nephews Jonathon and Jeremy Phillips, Al Craig, Winston Meadows and wife Julie.
A visitation will be held at 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Dogwood Cemetery Maysville, NC
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parkinsons? Foundation or a charity of one?s choice. The family will be donating to the Dylan Quick Foundation.
