Mrs. Rochette Morris
Sanford, Dec. 17 ? (Special) ? Mrs. Rochette Bass Morris, the wife of the Rev. Roy A. Morris, the pastor of the East Sanford Baptist Church, died at 8 A.M. today in a Raleigh hospital after several years ill health and a critical illness for the past few days.
Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Bass of near Chase City, Va. During her residence in Sanford, she acquired a large number of friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Miriam Morris, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday from the East Sanford Baptist Church. The Rev. O.T. Binkley, the pastor of the Wake Forest Baptist Church, the Rev. Ronald E. Wall, the pastor of the First Baptist Church, Sanford, and the Rev. R.R. Gordon of Pittsboro, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, Chatham County.
