Mrs. Maggie Mason, nee Sykes, of this city, went to Lawrence, Mich., last week, where on Thursday, April 24, at 2:30 p.m., she was married to Mrs. Joseph Bass, at the residence of the groom?s sister, Mrs. Rhina Schaffer. Mrs. Mason taught school in Kentucky a number of years and had saved up several thousand dollars of her earnings and was one of Xenia?s best young women. The groom is also a former Xenian, being a brother of Mr. Wm. Cosby. The bride and groom have both been married before. The news of Mrs. Mason?s marriage will be a great surprise to her many friends here.
