CODY, Wyo. - Ruth June Bassett, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at her home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Ballard Funeral Home, Cody. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wyoming Avenue Chapel. The casket will be open from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Ruth June Bassett
Ruth June Bassett, 83, died Dec. 30, 2006, at her home. She was born Jun3 30, 1923, to William and Agnes Carr Garwood in Worland. She married Herbert LaMonte "Monte" Bassett on June 30, 1941. They had a daughter and son. She is survived by daughter Sanda (Sam) Marquess of Middletown, Calif., son of James "Jim" LaMonte of Cody, grandchildren Teresa, Debra, Shelly, Jamie and C.J., 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, one brother, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Jan. 3 at Ballard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 4 at the LDS Chapel. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
