Joanne F. Bassett, 80, Elmora, passed away October 14, 2021, at home. Born February 1, 1941, in Hastings, the daughter of Ira and Agnes (Niebauer) Mothersbaugh. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, James Bassett, who died July 18, 2010; sisters, Delores Woods and Beverly McCune; and brother, Robert Mothersbaugh. Survived by sons, Greg (Brenda) Bassett, Jim (Renee) Bassett, and Brent (Stacey) Bassett, all of Elmora; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Connie Stumpf, Patty Paratto and Kate Zeanchock, all of Elmora; June Sherry, Ebensburg; William Mothersbaugh, Astabula, Ohio; Iris Ondriezek and Karen Hennick, both of Northern Cambria. Joanne enjoyed having family and friends gather at her home often. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and celebrations at her home were truly a special occasion. She was especially proud of her three sons and was happiest surrounded by family. She also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her sister, Kate. Honoring Joanne's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Interment, Bakerton Methodist Cemetery. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
