J.W. Bass
J W Bass, age 84, passed away on September 18, 2009 in Terrell, Texas. He was born on August 22, 1925 in Upshur County, Texas to Andrew Buck and Archie Mae Bass. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Bertie Bass; daughter, Carolyn Seabourn and husband Kenneth of Forney, Texas; daughter, Gaila Bass-Sizemore and Cary Sizemore of Heavner, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Darin Seabourn and wife Kristy of Forney, Texas, Alicia Kaufman and husband Brandon of Forney, Texas, Jason Bass and wife Niki of Huntington, Texas, and Sammie Bass of New Orleans, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Kendall Seabourn, Dawson Seabourn, Cade Seabourn, Ashley Bass, Kyle Kaufman, Devin Sizemore, Kendra Sizemore, Kaitlyn Sizemore and Breanna Sam; brothers, Rex Bass of Daingerfield, Texas, Don Bass of Rhonesboro, Texas; and a sister, Naomi Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Bass and great-granddaughter, Bailee McNear. Mr. Bass proudly served his country in the U S Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Visitation begins on Sunday September 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday 3:00 p.m. at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
