Onie Lee Thomason Bass
Onie Lee Thomason Bass, 98, of White Oak Manor, died March 12, 2003. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late William B. and Minnie Peden Thomason and the widow of Marvin A. Bass. Before her retirement, she was a seamstress with J.C. Penny Co. She was a member of Peden Clan of Fairview Presbyterian Church and a member of Dunean Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Sunday schoolteacher of the Ladies Bible Class.
Surviving are three daughters, Katie B. Turner of Greenville, Nina F. Finley of Fort Mill and June B. Wilson of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandchild, Nancy Lee Bingham.
Funeral services will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with visitation prior to the service from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at 5 Webb St., Dunean.
