Virginia B. Forrest
ROANOKE RAPIDS -- Mrs. Virginia Bass Forrest, 59, of West Tenth St., died Sunday, Feb. 26, in Halifax Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Forrest, a native of Northampton County, was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Irene Grizzard Bass of Pleasant Hill and the late Lloyd Alton Bass. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Ricky Barnes, the Rev. John Alford, the Rev. Frank Stansbury and the Rev. Dennis Gregory. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Forrest is survived by two sons, Mr. Paul Lowell Jr. of Louisiana and Mr. Roy Lowell of LaCross; a daughter, Ms. Debbie Forrest of Roanoke Rapids; a brother, Mr. Curtis Alton Bass of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Mayle of Pleasant Hill and Mrs. Lucille Jones of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
