Shirley M. Bassett
Mrs. Shirley McKee Bassett, age 74, of 2406 Richelieu Ave., S.W., Apt. 1A, died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, Walden Bassett; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Franklin, Glenmoore, Pa.; Mrs. Sandra Beasley, Roanoke; six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation of North Carolina, P.O. Box 2383, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27514. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. J. William Patton. Friends may call at Oakey?s Roanoke Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
