Audrey Charity Tuppeny was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Bogue, Kan. In 1955, she moved to Albany, where she owned Lil' Audrey's Restaurant and then was a cook for the school district before moving to Portland in 1990. In 1993, she married Elmo L.; he died in 1989.
