Riella M. Bessette, May 27, 2018 (Picture included)
Bessette, 91, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Bessette, Sr.
Born in New Bedford, MA, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Vera) Costa.
Riella worked for Corning Glass Works for 35 years before retiring in 1984 to be able to care for the love of her life, her husband Raymond.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Bessette of Boston, MA; her son Raymond E.
Bessette Jr. and his wife Mila A. Skowron of West Greenwich, RI; her daughter Carol Choquette of St. Petersburg, FL and her daughter Kathryn Bogacz of St. Petersburg, FL. She also leaves five grandchildren who will miss their grandmother dearly, Adam, Jennifer, James, Roman and Heather. Riella adored seven great-grandchildren; they are Luke, Logan, Lily, Alyssa, Nick, Mike but it was Gianni who entertained, consoled and pampered his Mamma.
She was the sister of Jesse Costa of Cumberland.
Anyone who had the privilege to meet Riella were truly blessed as she was a kind, gentle and loving person. Riella had many dear friends but none she cherished more than her friend and sister-in-law Loretta Bessette and god-daughter Karen Bessette.
Heaven received a very special angel on May 27, 2018.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln. A private burial will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

LINCOLN - Riella (Costa) Bessette, 91, foremerly of Rhode Island, passed away May 27, 2018.
She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Bessette.
Her family will be receiving guests on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln.
