  Notes	Providence Journal, Rhode Island, Thursday, December 8, 1988 Irene Bessette Irene Bessette, 78, of 38 Bristol Ave. died yesterday at home. She was the widow of Oliva J. Bessette. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Angeline (Dufresne) Barrette. She leaves four sons, Robert J. Bessette of Lowell, Mass., J. Ronald Bessette of Denver, Colo., Richard J. Bessette in Kentucky and Roger J. Bessette in Virginia; three brothers, Oscar Barrette of Central Falls and Ernest and Joseph Barrette, both of Providence; five sisters, Sister Nechtilde of the Daughters of the Holy Ghost, Sister Jacqueline Rita S.S.A., Sister Veronica of Jesus S.S.A. and Sister Ernestine S.S.A., all of Marlborough, Mass., and Nancy Beaucage of Warwick; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church Chapel, Broad Street, Central Falls.
