(There Is No Place Or Date On This Newspaper Clipping) OBITUARY: Mrs. Mary C. Ramey, 76 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Colley, West Main Street, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. She had been in failing health for two years and suffered a slight stroke three weeks ago from which she did not recover. The funeral will be held at the Martin funeral home at 10 o'clock Thursday morning conducted by the Reverend W.H. Tolliver. Burial will be made in Memorial Lawn cemetery. Mrs. Ramey is survived by four sons, J.B. Ramey of Parsons, Charles Ramey of Winslow, Arkansas, George Ramey of Denver and Oscar Ramey of Hollis, Oklahoma, four daughters, Mrs. J.D. Collye of Parson, Mrs. T.F. Adams of Springfield, Missouri, Mrs. A.O. Etter of Oktaha, Oklahoma, and Mrs. J.E. Hight of Vaughn, New Mexico and one brother, G.W. Bassett, of Elkins, Arkansas, who arrived in Parsons just and hour after the death of his sister. Mrs. Ramey had been a member of the Baptist church since childhood. She was a kind and gentle woman, living a life of sacrifice and devotion to her family, marked by a simple sincerity so common among the early mothers of the Southwest.
