1880 LAND: KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That we B.F. Johnson and Lydia Johnson his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven Hundred & fifty Dollars, to us in hand paid by James M. Bassett do hereby grant, bargain and sell unto the said James M. Bassett, his heirs and assigns the following described lands situate in Washington County, State of Arkansas to wit.
All of the South East quarter of the South East quarter of section thirty three (33), in township fifteen South of Range twenty nine (29) West. Also all the land lying West of the Main Channel of the middle fork of White River, That is a part of or belonging to the South West quarter of section thirty four (34) same Township and Range.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said lands and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said James Basset heirs and assigns forever. And I, the said B.F. Johnson hereby covenant that I am lawfully seized of said land and premises; that the same is unencumbered, and that I will forever Warrant and Defend the title to the said lands against all legal claims whatever. And I, the said Lydia Johnson, wife of the said B.F. Johnson, in consideration of said sum of money, do hereby release and relinquish unto the said James Bassett all my right of dower in and to said lands.

The above is the same land that was to B.F. Johnson by William H. Mankins and his wife Louisa Mankins, 7 August 1867 and had been sold to him by Peter Mankins and his wife Naresisia Mankins on 6 Jun 1862.
1888 LAND: THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
To all to whom these present shall come, Greetings:
Certificate No. 2393. Whereas James M. Bassett of Washington County, Arkansas, has deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Harrison Arkansas whereby it appears Full Payment has been made by the said James M. Bassett to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820, entitled "An Act making further provison for the sale of the Public Lands," and the acts supplemental thereto, for the west half of the south-west quarter of section thirty-four in township fifteen north of range twenty-nine west of the Fifth Principal Meridian in Arkansas containing eighty acres according to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said lands, returned to the GENERAL LAND OFFICE by Surveyor General, which said Tract has been purchased by the said James M. Bassett.
Now know ye, That the United States of America, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several Acts of Congress in such case made and provided, Have given and granted, and by these presents Do give and grant, unto the said James M. Bassett and to his heirs, the said Tract above described; To have and to hold the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances, of whatever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said James M. Bassett and his heirs and assigns forever.
In testimony whereof, I, Grover Cleveland, President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.
Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and twelfth.

Homestead Certificate No. 6232 To all to whom these present shall come, Greetings:
Application 7419 Whereas There has been deposited in the General Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Harrison, Arkansas, whereby it appears that, pursuant to the Act of Congress approved 20th May 1862 "To secure Homesteads to actual Settlers of the Public Domain," and the acts supplemental thereto, the claim of James M. Bassett has been established and duly consummated, in conformity to law, for the North East quarter of the South East quarter of Section thirty-three in Township fifteen North of Range twenty-nine West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in Arkansas, Containing forty acres according to the Official Plat of the survey of the said land, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General:
Now know ye, That there is, therefore, granted by the United States unto the said James M. Bassett the tract of Land above described: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said James M. Bassett and to his heirs and assigns forever.
In testimony whereof, I Benjamin Harrison, President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land office to be hereunto affixed.

WARRANTY DEED, WITH RELINQUISHMENT OF DOWER
Know all Men by These Presents;
That we W.S. Bassett and Sallie E. Bassett his wife for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to us in hand paid by James M. Bassett do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey into the said James M. Bassett and unto his heirs and assigns forever, the following lands lying in the County of Washington and State of Arkansas, to-wit:
All the North half of the North East quarter of Section Four (4) Township 14 N of Range 29 West Except Eight and one-eight (8 1/8) Rods off the South side of said Eighty acre tract; and all the North East quarter of the North West quarter of said Section four (4) Township 14, range 29 Except three acres in the North West corner of said 40 heretofore coveyed to Wm. Jett.
To have and to Hold the same unto the said James M. Bassett and unto his heirs and assigns forever, with all appurtenances thereto belonging.
And we hereby covenant with said James M. Bassett that we will forever warrant and defend the title to said lands against all claims whatever.
And I, Sallie E. Bassett wife of the said W.S. Bassett for and in consideration of the said sum of money, do hereby release and relinquish unto the said James M. Bassett all my rights of dower and homestead in and to the said lands.
