Doris Merita Bass
Doris Merita Bass, 88, of Leesburg, Florida passed away August 25, 2021. Mrs. Bass was born October 16, 1932 in Wauchula, Florida to Fred and Onie Owens Cochran and move to Leesburg in 1942. She was member of Covenant Life Church of God in Fruitland Park, FL.
Survivors include her sons: Robert (Cheryl) Bass, Jr and Lester (Renee) Bass of Okahumpka, FL, Danny (Rene) Bass of Sumterville, FL; daughters: Carolyn (Ron) Howes of Oxford, FL and Renee (Ralph) Maselli of Sunrise, FL; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; a brother Leroy (Sue) Conerly of Leesburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1996 as well as 4 brothers, a sister and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 8, 2021 beginning at 10 AM at Grace Bible Baptist Church with Pastors George Mulford and Dennis Langford officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9-10 AM and interment will follow the funeral at Lone Oak Cemetery, Leesburg, Florida.
