  Notes	The Journal, Seneca, South Carolina, Friday, 20 October 2023 Samuel McCoy Bass III SENECA, S.C. - Samuel McCoy Bass III, "Coy," 60, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at Salem Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:30-4 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 151 Crestwood Drive, Salem, SC 29676. The family members are at their respective homes. A native of Columbia, S.C., Mr. Bass was the son of the late Samuel McCoy Bass Jr. and Mary Parks Bass. He was a very devoted uncle and great friend who loved to help people. Coy loved making people smile by playing gospel music on the piano. He also adored his dog, Parker. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Bass is survived by his sister, Joy Conley (Mike); four nieces, Mary Kate, Rosa, Kendal and Cindy; as well as loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
