She was born Aug. 15, 1900, in Sioux County, Neb., to Clemence and Floretta (Burgess) Leeling. She married August E. Basse in Chadron on May 6, 1923, and to this union four children were born. Her husband passed away Oct. 1, 1952, in Crawford. On Jan. 17, 1959, she married Floyd G. Holbert in Scottsbluff, Neb. He passed away Dec. 17, 1969, in Crawford. She lived all her life in the Harrison and Crawford area. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands August Basse and Floyd Holbert, daughter Flora Jean Drumwright, grandson Jerry Drumwright, granddaughter Susie Matheenia, four brothers and seven sisters.
