Garfield W. Bassett
Pittsfield - Garfield W. Basset, 82, of 75 Toronita Avenue died unexpectedly in his home Sunday morning. A native of Stephentown, New York, he had spent the last 35 years in this city and had been a farmer. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Roy Reinhold, Mrs. Lolita Reinhold and Mrs. Dominic Dallafoir all of Pittsfield; 17 grandchildren; a stepson, Wilbur Westover; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gladys Masefield, all of Pittsfield. Services will be at the Dery funeral home Wednesday at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Lebanon, New York. Visiting hours at the funeral home are today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
