Stephen Bassett, 67, of Dayton, died unexpectedly November 20, 2024, at home. He was born on November 8, 1957 in Dayton, OH, the son of Arthur T Bassett and Carol Ruth (Shedd) Bassett. Steve graduated from Trotwood Madison High School, Class of 1976. Following graduation, he attended and graduated from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, Class of 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Delphi Automotive for 33 years in various roles as a manufacturing engineer. He and his surviving wife, Kathryn Bassett, were married 42 years. Surviving children are Kelly
(Bassett) Reuss and her husband, Paul Reuss, residing in Brisbane, Australia. Lee Bassett and his wife, Lily (Isted) Bassett, residing in Clinton, Montana. Sister, Sheri Bowman, who is residing in Kernersville, North Carolina; many relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Monday, December 2 at Restoration Church, 63 E Franklin Street, Centerville, OH. Gathering at 1:00 for friends at Coco?s Bistro, 250 Warren Street, Dayton,
