Ruby Bass
Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass, 82, of Oliver Springs, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at the home of her son, Stacy.
She was a charter member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Bass Sr.; parents, William Thomas and Inez Belle Long Wilson; son, Jackson Garner Bass; and one grandson.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Diane Johnson and husband Marlon of Louisville, TN; sons, Marvin Thomas Bass and Ruby of Clinton, Warren Bass, Jr. and wife Wilma of Oliver Springs, Markus Rodney Bass and wife Belinda of Oliver Springs and Antonio Stacy Wade Bass and wife Rebecca of Oak Ridge; 19 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family received friends Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Markus Bass and Pastor Joe Copeland officiating. Burial and graveside services were held Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. in R.W. Long Cemetery.

Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass
Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass, 82, of Oliver Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at the home of her son, Stacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Bass Sr.; and her parents, William Thomas Wilson and Inez Belle Long Wilson.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah Diane Johnson, Louisville; and sons, Marvin Thomas Bass, Clinton, Warren Bass Jr. and Markus Rodney Bass, both of Oliver Springs, and Antonio Stacy Wade Bass, Oak Ridge.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in Sharp Funeral Home chapel, Oliver Springs, with Pastor Markus Bass and Pastor Joe Copeland officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at R.W. Long Cemetery, Anderson County.

Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass
Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass, age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, December 11, 2014, at the home of her son, Stacy.
Mrs. Bass was born November 14, 1932 in Anderson County. She was a lifelong resident of this area.
Ruby was a faithful Christian and a charter member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Before her retirement she was employed at Wal-Mart for six years, Knox Trim as a machine operator for fourteen years and the Anderson County School System as a Cafeteria Manager for sixteen years.
She was preceded in death by her much loved husband, Warren Bass, Sr., by parents, William Thomas Wilson and Inez Belle Long Wilson, by her in-laws, John and Elsie Bass, by a son, Jackson Garner Bass, by brothers; Marshall Mack Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Willie F. Wilson and William Thomas Wilson, by sisters; Alice Gann, Maudie Reece, Ethel Reynolds and Elizabeth Diggs, by a grandson, Johnny Marvin Bass and by a grandson-in-law, Glen Dykes.
Mrs. Bass is survived by a daughter, Deborah Diane Johnson and husband Marlon of Louisville, TN, by sons; Marvin Thomas Bass and Ruby of Clinton, Warren Bass, Jr. and wife Wilma, of Oliver Springs and Markus Rodney Bass and wife Belinda, of Oliver Springs, and Antonio Stacy Wade Bass and wife, Rebecca of Oak Ridge, by 19 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and by 1 great- great-grandson.
She is also survived by a brother, Bradford Gene Wilson and wife, Ella of Columbus, OH, by a sister, Violet Smith and husband George, of Chattanooga, by a sister-in-law, Mona Bass, by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of special friends, including Patricia Giddeon.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 13, 2014, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Markus Bass and Pastor Joe Copeland officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 2:00 pm, at the R.W. Long Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is serving the Bass family.
