Robert M. Bass
Robert Marshall Bass, 76, of Route 1, New Market, died Monday at home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Pine Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, with Laughlin Service in charge. The Reverend Bill Pace, the Reverend Denton and the Reverend Paul Gwin will officiate. Mr. Bass was a Baptist minister 45 years. The body will be carried to church at 5 p.m. today. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Chloe H. Bass of New Market; six daughters, Mrs. Roy Boston of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mrs. Lawin Hillis of New Market, Mrs. Don Scott of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Mrs. Richard Reed of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Mrs. David Snoddy of Rogersville, Mrs. Conrad Bonham, Bristol, Connecticut; three sons, Edgar Bass of Elora, Frank Bass and Dale Bass, both of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; brother, Johnnie Bass of Germany; six sisters, Mrs. Ola Frame of Richard City, Tennessee, Mrs. Lola Wynn, Mrs. Velma Chandler, Mrs. Emma Standifer, all of Chattanooga, Mrs. Lucille Rollins of Jasper, Tennessee, Mrs. Dolly Mae Hall of Los Angeles, California; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tom Bowen, Curtis Clark, Bill Clark, J. D. Burgess, Irvine Clarke and Kenneth Ledbetter.
