Ronald Lee Bass
Ronald Lee Bass, 69, Stockton, formerly of Harrisonville, died June 3, 2006 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Ron was born Oct. 28, 1936 in Versailles, the son of Amos Thomas and Frances E. (Marriott) Bass.
He was a 1955 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy.
He had lived in Versailles before moving to Harrisonville where he lived until 1997 when he moved to Stockton.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Ron worked for General Motors, Leeds plant, as a line supervisor before retiring in 1990 after 30 years.
Ron is survived by six sons, Gary Oringdorff of Columbia, MO; Randy Stevens of Twentynine Palms, CA; Ronnie Bass of Green Ridge, MO; Rodney Bass of Windsor, MO; Lance Hofmann of Portland, TN; and Sam Bass of Lee's Summit, MO; two daughters, Debbie Lutz of Jefferson City, MO; and Ralina Beckham of Green Ridge, MO; his mother, Frances Bass of Harrisonville, MO; two brothers, Larry Bass of Kingsville, MO; and Tom Bass of Jefferson, TX; four sisters, Asberene Jones of Pleasant Hill, MO; Laverne Copeland of Horn Lake, MS; Barbara Lape of Memphis, TN; and Reta Bolinger of Springdale, AR; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson his companion.
Funeral services were June 6 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, officiated by Rev. Clayton With. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Casketbearers were Rex Baker, Frorino Baldelli, Jerry Snider, Rex Haslock, Gary Farmer, Don Moore and Richard Witt. Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
