Wedding Bells
In the Church of England, Wollongong, on Wednesday, Mr. R.A. Gibson, ?Rehall? farm, and Miss Bassett, alte teacher at the Cordeaux, were united in wedlock?s bonds, the Rev. G. D?Arcy Irvine performing the ceremony. There was a large and interesed crowd in the church. The bride was attired in a dress of grey cashmere, trimmed with white silk and chiffon, wreath and veil. She was attended as bridesmaid by Miss Pankhurst, whose dress was of heliotrope boile with silk blouse. Mr. Alex Wilson (Figtree) acted as best man, and the bride was given away by Mr. E. Newton. The bride wore a chain gold brooch, bridegroom?s gift, and the bridesmaid a gold bracelet from the same donor. The choir, of which the bride had been a member, rendered appropriate pieces. The knot tied, the party followed by many friends, forming quite a long procession of vehnicles, drove to the Town Hall, where the wedding feast awaited. A large company here assembled, and partook of an excellent repast provided by Mrs. J. Makin. Mr. A. Campbell, M.L.A., presided. Aftger the usual loyal toast, the Rev. G. D?Arcy Irvine proposed that of the ?Bride and Bridegroom.? It was a toast, he said, they would receive with the greatest good fellowship. A union had been formed of a nature at which they should all rejoice because the more of such unions making Christian homes there were throughout Australia, the greater the prosperity of the country. Mr. Irvine spoke very highly of the bride, and said that the bridegroom came of a fa ikly which had taken a leading part in the development of a great industry. Mr. A. S. Wilson spoke in warm praise of the bride. The toast was duly honored and briefly acknowledged by the bridegroom.
Other toasts were ?The surviving parent of the bridegroom,? the speakers being the chairman, Mr. R. Finlayson, and the Rev. J. Gardiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Gibson departed per afternoon train for Katoomba. A table covered with beautiful presents was on view at the hall.

Figtree
By the death on Tuesday last, of Mrs. R.A. Gibson, of Figtree, at the age of 53 years, the district mourns one they could ill afford to lose. On Sunday the deceased lady was stricken with a serious illness and little hope was entertained for hr recovery. The late Mrs. Gibson was a great church worker, and at the time of her death was Sunday School Superintendent and secretary of the C. of E., Figtree. In any movement for the advancement of the district she took an active part. As a young woman she will be remembered as Miss Bassett, school teacher at Unanderra and Cordeaux. A husband and eight children, the yuoungest eleven, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. The funeral, which was a large and representative one, took place on Thursday, the remains being interred in the C. of E. cemetery, Collongong. We might mention that all social activites at Figtree have been postponed out of respect to the deceased lady.
