Monte Susan (Bass) Burkett
Services for Monte Susan "Susie" Burkett, 57, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Griffin-Hillcrest Chapel with Jim Yeager officiating.
Born Dec. 22, 1951 in Los Angeles to Woody and Mary (Owens) Bass, she died March 5, 2009, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Dallas Merrill.
She married Randy Burkett in 1972 in Ardmore.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Susie enjoyed music and people.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Lowden, Alva, OK; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Burkett, Cody Burkett and Skyler Edwards, all Ardmore, OK; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Miles, Ardmore, OK and Memphis Burkett, Emporia, KS: three brothers, Woody Bass Jr. and Gabby Bass, both Ardmore, OK and Shawn Bass, Guthrie, OK; one sister, Paula Bass, Guthrie, OK; and former son-in-law, David Lowden, Ardmore, OK.
