ENFIELD, Conn. – Frank J. Bassett, 63, of 22 Riviera Drive, machinist for Howat & Mosher Corp., South Windsor, died Tuesday in Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Redditch, England, he lived in Enfield 38 years and was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and a past secretary of the church council. He once was a committee-man for the Enfield Boy Scout district. He leaves his wife, the former Catherine Cox; a son, Jeffrey at home; daughter Darlene Planck of Winsted; sister, Norah Haugen of Florida. The funeral will be Friday morning in the church with burial in the South Hero (Vt.) Cemetery. Donations may be made to the church. Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels in charge.
