Paul Ray Bass
Funeral services for Paul Ray Bass, age 78 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Gilbert Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Bass was born November 9, 1946 in Corsicana, Texas to Margaret Faye (Harrold) and Charlie Ray Bass. He married Ruby Grace Burrell in Seminole on April 10, 1965. He was a Baptist and worked in the oilfield for 27 years. In 2011 he was named Gaines County Oilman of the Year. Paul was an honest, fair, loyal, and hardworking man who loved the Lord and his family dearly. He was always a faithful husband to the love of his life, Ruby, for 59 years. Paul was a comical man and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Paul Bass passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by his wife and family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his stepdad. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Bass of Seminole; one son, Dustin Bass of Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Sandy Williams and husband Butch of Seminole, and Dina Riley and fiancé Paul Chambers of Dallas, Texas; his doggy daughter, Sparkle; two brothers, Mike Bass of Irving, Texas, and Jay Bass and wife Lauri of Corsicana, Texas; one sister, Michelle Smith and husband Harvey of Waxahachie, Texas; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
