LaRoy Bass of Florala passed away on January 5, 2025. A lifelong resident of Florala, she was born April 24, 1950 to Ethel and Richard Brown. Before her stroke in 2011, she was an avid book reader and was busily involved with Andalusia Ballet where she was employed for many years. She loved her word search puzzles and football of any kind but especially the Auburn Tigers.
She is survived by daughters LaRon Ritzel and Jennifer Drakkar; and son Reb Bass all of Florala. Grand daughters Caitlyn (Evan) Robbins; Lily (Austin) West; and Abigail Bass. Grandsons Cyle (Jenna) Ritzel; Lane Drakkar and Dixon Drakkar. Great Grandchildren Freya, Jenson, Penelope, Jade, Isla, and Charlie. Brother Ronnie (Stacy) Brown, and sisters Lynn Usry and Wynde Brown.
She was preceded in death by husband Grady Bass, son-in-law Joe Drakkar, brother Joseph Brown, and parents Ethel and Richard Brown.
Services for LaRoy Brown Bass will be 2PM Thursday January 9, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
