Susan Alice Bassett
Susan Alice Bassett, 74, died Tuesday at Harborside Health Care Center, Bryan. Born in Latty, she retired in 1991 from Sheller-Globe Co. in Grabill, Ind. Her husband, Basil L., died in 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Gambrell of Stony Ridge and Janice Campbell of Fort Wayne; four sons, Larry, Duane and David, all of Hicksville, and James of Butler, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services at 11 a.m. EDT (10 a.m. Fort Wayne time) Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with calling three hours before services. Calling also after 2 p.m. EDT Friday, with Lady Auxiliary services at 7 p.m. EDT. Burial in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville. Memorials to Hicksville Senior Citizens Center or Hicksville First Church of Christ Building Fund.

Susan Alice Bassett, Hicksville, Ohio - 1927-2001
Susan Alice Bassett, 74, of Hicksville, Ohio, a member of Kitchenette Band, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Harborside Health Care in Bryan. The Latty native retired in 1991 from Sheller-Globe Co. in Gravill, Ind. She was a member of Hicksville First Church of Christ, Eagles Auxiliary, Antwerp VFW Post 5087 Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. Surviving are daughters Carol Gambrell of Stony Ridge and Janice Campbell of Fort Wayne; sons Larry, Duane and David, all of Hicksville, and James of Butler, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil L., five sisters and a brother. Services are 11 a.m. (Ohio time) Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with calling from 8 a.m. until services and also after 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.
