Mrs. Millie Jane McColm
Millie Jane McColm, daughter of William and Elizabeth Bass, was born March 28, 1900, near Milford, Missouri, and departed this life November 12, 1964, at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 25 days. She was united in marriage to William Howard McColm December 26, 1920. To this union were born four children. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Howard McColm, of the home; one son Ralph McColm of Arnold, Missouri, three daughters, Mrs. Willa Zulauf of Halfway, Missouri, Mrs. Ruth Bonner of Route 4, Boliver, Missouri, and Mrs. Jean Carter of Route 1 Halfway, Missouri; one brother Clyde Bass of Humansville, Missouri, three sisters, Mrs. Marie Clark of Stockton, Missouri, and Mrs. Minnie Mattingly and Mrs. Lessie Durham of Liberal, Missouri; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; one aunt, Mrs. Laura Gibson, four nephews; four nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Sunday morning, November 15, 1964, in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, east of Bolivar, Missouri, with the Reverend Wilburn Foster officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Pitts Funeral Home of Bolivar. Pallbearers were Paul Armstrong, Bheuford Skidmore, Max Barham, Edwin Ervin, and Doyle Barham.
